The death of Willis Ayieko, an HR manager at Wells Fargo, has captivated the country for the past few days.

Inside Willis Ayieko’s compound

His remains were discovered in a swamp in Gem, Siaya county, days after he went missing.

The grim discovery was made days after his mysterious disappearance, raising serious questions about the circumstances that led to his death.

It all began when Ayieko left Nairobi for Gem to attend a funeral but was waylaid on his way home. He was meant to participate in another event in Kakamega the following day but never showed up, raising questions about his whereabouts.

Days later, his vehicle was found abandoned in Vihiga county, but efforts to trace his movements were hindered as his phones went dead. Police are investigating possible motives behind the disturbing crime.

Photos shared on social media showed the deceased majestic compound with two bungalows.

The first house with curved blocks features a black roof and is surrounded by a white picket fence.

The bungalow boasts expansive windows, allowing in lots of light.

It has a veranda suitable for sunbathing.

Trees surround the house, and one photo showed a Land Rover Discovery parked outside.

The compound also has a cattle farm with several dairy cows.

A driveway with ballast leads into the compound. Next to the house is another bungalow with a green roof surrounded by carbon blocks.

Ayieko reared several birds, including chickens and geese. According to the photos, his brother owns the other house.
