Teacher Harriet Iravonga of Kaimosi Demonstration Primary School has been given sweet gifts by parents days after she helped needy pupils get new uniforms and shoes.

In a sweet Facebook post, the excited children are seen gifting their teacher, Harriet Iravonga, who was all smiles, a chicken.

Like a sweet cherry to a cake, the young teacher from the Vihiga-based school was also seen admiring two pieces of sugarcane that came from another parent.
Teacher Harriet has a close bond with her class; it is the close relationship that made her realise that they come from very needy backgrounds and she decided their immediate needs.

“We are here again can you see the love? I have heard one shouting we love you in the background. Goodbyes are never easy, I was also attached to these kids, I feel so sorry for them,” she said.
“A boy was crying in a corner. Grade Four, here we come may the good Lord keep them for me until we meet next year,” she added.

Teacher honoured at Njugush’s event
In another story, comedian Njugush left viral Nairobi teacher Priscilla Wanjiku Karanja aka Cillah, teary after calling her out during the TTNT5 event.
Njugush invited the educator on stage to honour her for the work she does, an honour that caught her by surprise.
The teacher disclosed that she was still shocked about the surprise recognition and thanked the comedian for appreciating the teachers
