Teresia Wairimu Denies Feud with Ruto, Advocates Removal of Corrupt Officials: “They’re My Children”

Speaking from an altar in London, she affirmed that she has no conflict with the first family.

She also shared that she prayed for President Ruto and reflected on their journey together since 2010.

“I am not in dispute with my president and I want that to be heard. I am not in conflict with the first family in Kenya. They are my children and members of our family church. We are not fighting about anything. I prayed for him and I have walked a journey with him from 2020 to where he is today,” the spiritual woman stated.

The preacher also emphasised that anyone found engaging in corrupt practices should be held accountable and removed from office.

“I have been offering a prayer because God has put a burden on my heart to pray for the nation of Kenya against poverty and corruption. And my prayer is that any corrupt person must go home whether they want it or not,” she added.

On October 21, the spiritual leader expressed regret over the conflicts within the Kenya Kwanza government that led to the impeachment of Rigathi Gachagua as the deputy president.

She stated that certain leaders would likely be voted out in the upcoming 2027 elections.

Why was Rigathi Gachagua impeached?

The impeached deputy president Rigathi Gachagua has been fighting his case at the Milimani Law Courts after an overwhelming Senate vote for his removal.

Gachagua was found guilty of five out of eleven charges brought against him by Kibwezi West MP Muwengi Mutuse.

His removal from office occurred while he was receiving treatment for severe chest pain at Karen Hospital, and he did not present a defence before the Senate.
