Security tightened ahead of Rigathi’s impeachment
In another story, videos online show the deputy president’s motorcade arriving at the Parliament Building, accompanied by his legal team, bodyguards, and lawmakers allied with him.
Before Gachagua’s arrival, security had been heightened as Parliament Road was closed ahead of the Senate impeachment trial proceedings.
The motion against the deputy president included charges of constitutional violations, related legal breaches, gross misconduct, and abuse of office.
