The 23 years old was buried on Tuesday, October 29 at St Camillus Catholic Church Karuguru in Ruiru, Kiambu county.
The ceremony was graced by friends and family members who came to give their final respects to Nyakio.
Faces of Nyakio’s kin looked downcast as they carried her portrait and cross ahead of her burial.
Among the guests at the burial included Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru who stood with the family in their mourning period.
