Which economic agendas does Ruto want Kindiki to oversee?

The head of state explained that his administration reached a point where it required a patriotic public servant and a consummate champion of the constitutional dispensation, broad-based national governance framework, and bottom-up economic transformation agenda to support the Cabinet and the presidency in delivering in full and on time.

He listed the mandates as follows:

  • Energy sector transformation

“I need your support for the Ministry of Energy, who are doing a wonderful job in that exercise. We have a big programme on markets across Kenya, which you will help achieve,” he added.

  • Affordable Housing: Ruto urged Kindiki to help advocate for the project. He revealed that the programme will give low-income earners access to 1000 house units at KSh 3,000 starting December 2024.
