President William Ruto has condoled with the family of Beth Wahito Njoroge, a Nominated Member of the Nyandarua County Assembly, who died in a road accident on Saturday, June 21, 2025, along the Nairobi-Nakuru highway.

President Ruto hailed Wahito as a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) champion whose ideas brought lasting change to the people of Njabini.

“She was a solid grassroots mobilizer and a steadfast UDA supporter who subscribed to progressive politics, Beth will best be remembered for the many fresh ideas that transformed the lives of the people of Njabin, ” Ruto said in a post on X. 

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki also expressed his condolences, calling Wahito’s death tragic and highlighting her commitment to economic empowerment in her hometown.

“She will be remembered for her relentless dedication to the economic empowerment of the people of Njabini, from where she hailed,” Kindiki wrote on Facebook.

The accident occurred near Heritage Hotel in Naivasha when Wahito’s car collided with a bus. The impact claimed her life, cutting short the journey of the public servant.

The County Assemblies Forum (CAF), through Secretary General Hon. Chege Mwaura, issued a condolence statement recognizing Wahito’s contributions to devolution and inclusive governance.
