Nairobi – President William Ruto’s administration has reinstated part of impeached Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s security details.
Recently, Gachagua accused the president of exposing him to danger after allegedly ordering the withdrawal of the DP’s security details.
However, on Sunday, October 27, during a church service at St James ACK Cathedral in Kiambu town, Gachagua had enhanced security.
Kiambu senator Karungo Wa Thang’wa and a close ally of the impeached DP confirmed the restoration of Gachagua’s security details.
In a tweet, Thang’wa urged the Kenya Kwanza administration to reinstate the impeached DP’s employees.
“The state has reinstated part of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s security detail. In the same spirit, I urge the government to take the next honorable step and reinstate his employees as well. Justice must not only be done but must also be seen to be done,” Thang’wa said.
