Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has denied reprimanding Public Service Cabinet Secretary Geoffrey Ruku on delayed government projects.
Through a Tweet posted on his official X platform, Kindiki denied the reports, terming them desperate, mischievous, and utterly malicious.
“My remark being discussed referred to a former Cabinet Secretary from the same area and other ex-leaders who manifested similar conduct, to affirm that governments worldwide operate on the principle of collective responsibility,” he explained.
Seen a desperate, mischevious and utterly malicious twist insinuating that I lectured and disrepected my neighbour CS Geoffrey Ruku, my friend for years.
FALSEHOOD is cheap.
My remark being discussed referred to a former Cabinet Secretary from the same area and other ex-leaders…

Kindiki went out to state that those in government are bound by government policies, decisions, and actions.
“If you are in government and you want it to do something for the people, you use your position in the same to influence the desired action.
Pretending to be “clever” by undermining a government that you are a senior part of is illegal and anti-people,” he stated.
Kindiki and Ruku seemed to clash over the weekend during a high-profile meeting with over 5,000 elders from Embu County.
Ruku made a passionate appeal to Kindiki to prioritise the tarmacking of roads in the Siakago constituency on behalf of the local elders.
“You are no longer an MP. You are a minister now. You can’t come here to lament and incite people. If you can’t defend the government and represent your people, then you’re in the wrong position,” Kindiki responded to the request.
