Nakuru Man Recounts How Cab Drivers Helped Corner Man Spotted With Missing Woman’s Car


A Nakuru taxi driver has shared how unity among their fraternity helped to nab the guy who was driving the car of the woman who went missing with clients.

Victoria Mumbua, 35, went missing after a client identified as Edwin Ngetich requested she takes him on a round trip from Diani to Samburu. Her car also went missing, and its tracker was disabled.

According to Mechack Kingi, who was speaking in an interview with KTN, they searched frantically, and when they failed to find her, they went to the company that had installed the tracker on Mumbua’s car.

“The car was seen in Kisumu,” he said.

Apparently, the taxi drivers in Kisumu county had seen Ngetich driving the car along the Kisumu-Busia Road, and he refused to stop even when he was flagged.

Ngetich was finally cornered in Nakuru county after a taxi driver identified as Joseph Mburu saw the photos of the car being shared on social media.

“It is like he didn’t know the roads here very well; he would drive and come to a dead end and since I was following him, I saw him end up at the car wash and when he saw the police he started saying that he ahd been sent to have the car washed,” said Mburu.
