What events led to the killing of Joseph Kasirira?
Joseph Kasirari was mercilessly killed, and his body was dumped in his piece of land over an alleged land dispute.
The 62-year-old’s cold body was found on his parcel of land on October 31 after being hacked to death.

“The neighbour called him. When the neighbour called him, he shared there was something he wanted them to discuss. Little did my father know that the neighbour was armed. The neighbour violently attacked him. It was a death that shocked all of us,” Joseph, one of the 10 sons of Kasirari, said.
Nakuru hospital shares cause of death of Joseph Kasirira
According to the autopsy conducted on the sexagenarian at the Annex Hospital Nakuru Farewell Home, the elderly man was hacked more than 10 times by his assailants.
“A sharp object injured him,” Titus Ngolongo, the government pathologist, disclosed.
Wycliffe Atioka, a relative of the deceased, said the suspects were inhumane in the act of killing their kin.
The Gilgil sub-county police commander said two suspects were apprehended while investigations continue.

The police were also pursuing three other suspects, hoping to get to the bottom of the incident.

In most cases, authorities called for peaceful conflict resolution methods to avoid the occurrence of such tragedies.
