Nairobi – Lawyer and political activist Morara Kebaso is set to be arraigned in court following his arrest by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.
Morara earlier alluded that he had been arrested due to the drama that erupted at the Bomas of Kenya during public participation in Rigathi Gachagua’s proposed impeachment motion.

Morara’s lawyer Pareno Solonka has shared the charge sheet that the detectives are expected to use in the case against the vocal anti-government activists.
According to the charge sheet seen by TUKO.co.ke, Morara is accused of creating disturbance in a manner likely to cause a breach of the peace contrary to Section 95(1) of the Penal Code.
The particulars of the charges claim Morara uttered the words “Kufa dereva, kufa makanga’ which, according to the detectives, led to the chaos witnessed at the Bomas of Kenya.
“On October 4, 2024, at Bomas of Kenya in Langata sub-county with Nairobi county, while attending a public participation forum to impeach the deputy president Rigathi Gachagua with others not before this court, they created disturbance in a manner likely to cause a breach of peace by uttering the words’ Kufa dereva Kufa makanga’, which caused the public to react to the utterances,” the charge sheet reads.
