The newly sworn-in Deputy President, Kithure Kindiki, has expressed his eagerness to work with President William Ruto.
What promise did Kindiki make to Ruto?
While speaking during his swearing-in ceremony, Kithure pledged his commitment towards making Ruto’s work easier.
“I don’t take it for granted. Therefore, Your Excellency, as you lead us into the transformation of our country in the years ahead. I want to commit to supporting and assisting you together with the other colleagues in government to realise a Kenya that has even greater opportunities,” Kindiki said.
He also stated that after reflecting on the oath he took during his swearing-in, he promised to work under Ruto and provide the support needed to advance the country.
Kindiki also pledged his loyalty and commitment to the head of state while fulfilling his duties as deputy president.

“I commit that I will be loyal and faithful. I will try the best of my ability to work hard together with the colleagues to lighten the burden that you carry on your shoulders,” he added.
