Kiambu man, 23, stranded after lover leaves him with premature twins: “Alihepa usiku”

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Njoroge, who started his parenting journey as a single dad, recalled the day he found out his wife was pregnant.

“It was on a Saturday when we were going to buy supper. I asked her to buy a pregnancy test kit since she had not gotten her periods for a while despite them being irregular. We began preparations and prepared for one child when we found out she was pregnant.

We went for the first scanning when she was five months pregnant because her mum had claimed scanning could affect unborn children. During scanning, we found out we were expecting twins, but I was content and happy,” he said.

Why did Njoroge’s lover give birth early?

The 23-year-old added they were unprepared to welcome the kids earlier than the due date.

However, because of complications, Njoroge’s lover needed to undergo surgery and deliver the twins six months and three months into pregnancy.
