“I was a boda boda rider. As our relationship blossomed, she moved in with me because of issues she was facing at home. Our stay was smooth for the first five days, but I did not disclose to her that I had HIV. I thought she would leave me if she ever found out,” he said.
“On the day she found out, she stumbled on my medicine, and she was heartbroken that she (allegedly) took her own life,” he added.
Wachira claimed that he returned from work and found his ARVs scattered on the floor after the lady found them. He also claimed he found her body in the house.
“I found the house locked from the inside, and I peeked into the house and saw her remains. I took her remains and disposed of them in a shamba. I then surrendered myself to the police and confessed to murdering her. I did not know what to do,” he added.
