A Kenyan officer in Haiti Mission has died after sustaining injuries in Segur-Savien region of the carribean nation.
Force Commander Godfrey Otunge says efforts to save the deceased’s life were futile. He died after being airlifted to Aspen Level 2 Hospital on Sunday.

The officer was immediately airlifted to Aspen Level 2 Hospital but, unfortunately, succumbed to the injuries,” Otunge said in a statement.
Reports indicate that the shooting happened in the western Artibonite region, where Kenyan police were sent to neutralize Haitian gangs.
They had been conducting an operation in the region since last week.
