“Yesterday evening, Mueni wrote a passionate letter to me and was requesting us to assist her in clearing the balance,” said Nyoro.

“Mueni is an academically brilliant student who used to score As in her end-term examinations. However, her frequent trips in and out of school had a negative effect on her overall performance. She is, however, determined to finish strong,” he added.

What will Mueni do with the balance?

Three hours after sharing her story, Kenyans swung into action and raised KSh 138,259. This is so much love. All the fee balance, a challenge she has walked with for four years, has been cleared in within hours!

“God bless each one of you. You ask what will happen to the excess? Good question; Mueni has a younger sister, also academically gifted. She is in Form One at Machakos Girls High School and this balance will be transferred to her sister’s account.
