The heartbroken father said they had a joyful conversation with his daughter Angeline Kirigo Kinyua prior to her untimely death at Mahiga Girls Secondary School.
When last did Kirigo speak to her father?
He said the Form One student looked forward to the holidays when she would reunite with her family and spend quality time together.

When Kirigo spoke to her father on Friday evening, October 26, through her teacher’s mobile phone, she was full of life and excitement.
“That evening, she was in a jovial mood, and I can remember that there were so many times that they told each other how much they loved each other and would be seeing each other in a few days. So there was no complaint that evening about any mode of sickness,” the grieving dad shared.
However, just a few hours after her conversation with her family, a call came in the dead of night on their daughter’s wellbeing.
Kirigo’s mum Moshire awakened by distressing call
Kirigo’s mother, Gladys Moshire, was awakened by a call from the school around 2:30am, informing her that she was gravely ill and in urgent need of medical attention.

Shocked and disoriented, she rushed to the hospital in Othaya, where her daughter had been taken.
There, she was met with the devastating news that 13-year-old Angeline was already gone.
The family sought justice for their teenage daughter as they say they received conflicting reports concerning her death.

Starehe Boys Form 2 student dies in school
Separately, a family from Busia county was in pain after learning that their kin, identified as Tonny Masai, was dead.
According to family member Eveleen, the Starehe Boys administration gave them two versions of the circumstances surrounding his death.
In one, the students only heard a splash, and when one of them went to check, they discovered Tonny was dead.
