How did man steal from Nairobi motorist?
The clip filmed along the Thika Super Highway showed a Subaru Forester driving in slow-moving traffic at night.
The motorist behind the Subaru recorded as a young man appeared from the side of the road, running.
He ran up beside the driver’s side of the Subaru and momentarily paused before striking.
Dressed in red shoes, jeans, and a black sports jacket, the thief suddenly grabbed the driver’s mobile phone.
He then jumped over the railing along the road and disappeared into the night.

The man then plucked out the Harrier’s bonnet chrome before fleeing the scene by running against traffic. It was unclear if the driver noticed the theft or gave chase. A factory-spec bonnet chrome bar is worth over KSh 10,000 to replace.
According to netizens, car vandals and robbers in traffic jams across major highways in the city were on the rise.
