Nairobi—Saboti Member of Parliament Caleb Amisi has warned Wiper Democratic Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka against relying on Mt Kenya votes ahead of the 2027 polls.
In a tweet, Amisi cautioned Kalonzo against banking his hope for former president Uhuru Kenyatta’s support.
According to Amisi, it would be difficult for Uhuru to make Kalonzo president in 2027, yet he could not deliver the votes for ODM leader Raila Odinga in 2022.
“Kalonzo believes a former president, who never helped the enigmatic Baba become president when he had all the power, can now magically help #Kalonzo become president just because Kikuyus are annoyed with Ruto.

“”Verily verily I say unto you, Kenyans and especially young people will not vote for you because of a cerelac former President endorsement; they will vote for the next president because he/she demonstrates the power to be different from all Moi’s scions combined and not Moi against Moi,” Amisi said
At the same time, Amisi argued that any politician riding on impeached deputy president Rigathi Gachagua’s tribulations will be shocked in 2027.

According to the ODM lawmaker, the Mt Kenya region will produce a presidential candidate, and leaders allied to President William Ruto will decamp ahead of 2027 polls.
“Anyone campaigning while riding on the #Gachagua present predicament is simply escorting a girl to a date. At the penultimate hour, the Central region will have a credible candidate( not Gachagua), and he will receive votes to the maximum. All elected leaders from the region allied to Ruto will decamp en masse. For the first time in Kenya, we will have a three- to four-horse presidential election race, and the results will be a runoff,” Amisi argued.
