Boniface Mwangi Freed Unconditionally Day after Dramatic Abduction: “No Charges”

Nairobi – The police have freed outspoken human rights activist and anti-government critic Boniface Mwangi.

Confirming the reports, Haki Africa boss Hussein Khalid stated that Mwangi had been released with any charges being preferred against him.

Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua was among friends and family members at the Kamukunji Police Station when Mwangi was released.

“I can confirm firm that Boniface Mwangi has been freed with no charges. Wife, children and friends were there during his release,” Khalid said.

There was some emotional moment as Mwangi’s wife, Njeri Mwangi hugged him immediately after being released.

The children also shared light moments with their dad as they recalled waking up to find him missing on the day he was abducted.
