Speaking to the events in parliament, the youthful parliamentarian said he sidelined himself from the sessions to attend to other important issues in his constituency.
“I was highly engaged with other important and urgent matters affecting my constituents. The speed with which Rigathi was impeached should be the same speed used to solve Kenyans’ challenges,” said Babu.
Babu observed that his colleagues always provided sufficient quorum to issues that were of no importance to Kenyans.
He castigated the House for sparing a whole day to discuss the deputy president’s ouster when there were other pressing issues.
The lawmaker said he would only be available in the chambers of the House if the subjects of discussion had anything to do with the wellness of the country and the common citizenry.
“How can I waste my precious whole day discussing Rigathi? We have serious issues like Adani, the new university funding model, SHIF, the high cost of living, high taxation, and unemployment, among others. You’ll see me in parliament when these issues are presented, but they will not bring them,” he said.
