Nairobi—Kirinyaga governor Anne Waiguru has published her track record in an apparent bid to become the deputy president.

She is among the top guns in the race to succeed Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua should his impeachment stand in the Senate.

Via X, Waiguru cited her track record in public service, which she seemed to argue places her among the best fits to deputise President William Ruto for the remainder of his first term.

The county boss, who is serving her second term, came to the limelight in 2013 when former president Uhuru Kenyatta appointed her to his Cabinet, where she served on various dockets.

“My journey in Public Service has been one for the books, characterized by bringing service delivery closest to the people through Devolution, Huduma Centers, Wezesha, Health Care transformation, and many other amazing people-first initiatives,” she said.
