Judiciary Advertises 109 Paid Internship Vacancies for Diploma, Degree Graduates

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has declared 109 internship vacancies for diploma and bachelor’s degree graduates, with a deadline of Friday, November 22.

What’s the monthly stipend for Judiciary interns?

In an advert on its website, JSC noted the 12-month programme was open to unemployed Kenyan youths aged between (18 and 35 years old) who have not been exposed to work experience related to the area of study within two years of graduation.

Degree holders will be paid a monthly stipend of KSh 25,000, while diploma holders will earn KSh 20,000.

“The commission invites applications from suitable and qualified candidates to fill 109 internship vacancies in the Judiciary. The Internship programme will offer opportunities for the graduates to consolidate and translate the skills learned from their training into meaningful, relevant, and practical on-the-job experience,” the advert stated.

Graduate internship programme

  1. Office administration (secretarial services) – 20 vacancies.
  2. Information Communication & Technology (application development – 12 vacancies.
  3. Supply chain management – 20 posts.
  4. Information science and records management services – nine posts.
  5. Building services (mechanical, architecture and electrical engineering) – three posts.

Diploma internship programme

  1. Office administration (secretarial services) – 25 vacancies.
  2. Information Communication & Technology – 12 posts.
  3. Supply chain management – eight posts.
  4. Information science and records management services – nine posts.
  5. Building services (structural, architecture and construction) -three posts.

How to apply for JSC vacancies

The commission asked interested and qualified candidates to fill out an online application form at the JSC jobs portal.

JSC noted that applicants should attach relevant documents, including copies of academic and professional certificates, identity cards, a letter of application, and coloured passport-size photographs.

Career coach Emmanuel Makokha advised graduates to include extracurricular activities, volunteer work, and leadership roles in their resumes.

“If you’ve done any part-time jobs, freelance work, or internships, emphasise transferable skills like communication, problem-solving, or time management. Use a professional summary to express your enthusiasm and how your skills align with the internship role,” he told TUKO.co.ke.

Which other organisations announced jobs?

In related news, World Vision Kenya advertised jobs on its website and asked interested and qualified candidates to apply by November 16.

Meru University of Science and Technology (MUST) also invited applications for several teaching positions on its website.

Meanwhile, the Office of The Attorney General (AG) declared 168 permanent and pensionable job openings for Form Four leavers, diploma and bachelor’s degree holders.
