DCI Arrest Second Suspect in Murder of Woman Whose Body Parts Were Found at Langata Cemetery


  • DCI sleuths have made progress in their probe into the murder of a woman whose remains were found dumped in Nairobi’s Langata Cemetery
  • On Wednesday, November 6, the detectives found out that Hashima Dagane, who was being held over three other murders in Eastleigh, was also behind the woman’s murder
  • A day later, Thursday, November 7, the detectives arrested another suspect in connection with the Langata Cemetery human remains

NairobiDetectives attached to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have arrested another man linked with the murder of a woman whose body parts were discovered near Langata Cemetery.

The arrest of Jared Mong’are came a day after the detectives established that the murder was undertaken by Hashima Dagane, who is also facing charges related to the murders of three females in Eastleigh.

Mong’are was arrested in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu county.

The police made several recoveries, which would aid the course of investigations.

Among the items found with him include a blood-stained panga believed to be the murder weapon.

The detectives further established that the second suspect was in contact with Dagane throughout their alleged criminal undertaking.

“Acting on intelligence leads, the detectives established that Mong’are, who was smoked from his hideout in Eldoret town, is the person who, not only handled all payment transactions relating to the clients stay at Lavington Valley Heights Apartment, but is also the person who drove them to the venue in a Toyota Vitz Reg. No. KDD 737Q that has since been recovered at Ngara Civil Servants estate and towed to DCI Hqs for forensic examination,” said the DCI.
