Luckily all the passengers were safely evacuated from the burning bus, but all their personal effects and goods were reduced to ashes.

Naivasha OCPD Antony Keter confirmed, stating that the fire started from the back wheels. This forced the driver to park by the roadside before the whole bus was engulfed in fire and reduced to a shell.

“We had an incident where a bus heading to Kampala developed mechanical breakdown, and a fire erupted, but all the passengers escaped unhurt,” Keter said.

A video shared by Naivasha Trending captured the moment the bus fire started.

In the footage, the passengers are heard pleading with other motorists to help them with fire extinguishers.
