A timely act of compassion by Mwalimu Francis Njiriri and a group of passersby led to the rescue of popular comedian Henry DeSagu.
In a Facebook post, the Good Samaritan disclosed that it all began when he spotted the humorist in distress on Thika-Ngoingwa-Mangu Road.
The incident unfolded around 9.40 am when Njiriri, out running errands, noticed a young man walking aimlessly in the middle of the busy road.

Vehicles honked as drivers attempted to avoid him, but the man seemed unfazed. Sensing something was amiss, Njiriri decided to intervene.
Approaching him cautiously, he was startled to recognize the familiar face of Henry DeSagu, a beloved online content creator known for his humorous sketches.
“DeSagu was not himself,” Njiriri recounted. “He was shouting and speaking incoherently. I felt an overwhelming urge to help.”
With assistance from several bystanders, Njiriri managed to coax DeSagu into his vehicle.
The group then transported him to Thika Level 5 Hospital, where Dr Catherine, an on-call psychiatrist, provided immediate medical care.
Njiriri expressed his gratitude to everyone who stepped in during the emergency.
“Thank you to all the good-hearted people who responded when I called out for help,” he said. “Your kindness may have saved a life today.”
Njiriri urged Kenyans to always check on the people who matter as they never know when a simple gesture of care could make all the difference.
