Kenyan athletics superstar Faith Kipyegon is enjoying her holidays following a historic season.

She won an Olympic gold medal for the third time in her career and shattered the 1500m world record for the second time.

Kipyegon shared some photos of her enjoying her time off with her daughter Alyn.

Kipyegon enjoys holiday

After concluding a busy season, the 30-year-old athlete took some time to go for a safari game drive with her daughter.

She shared photos on her Instagram of her watching some elephants feed. She also took some time to ride a bike at the park.

Her six-year-old daughter Alyn was excited to be in the park watching animals in their natural habitat. Her mother had planned to spend time with family after winning at Athlos NYC.

Kipyegon had arguably the best year in her career. She stormed to her third straight gold medal in the 1500m after breaking her world record in the distance.

The three-time world champion also took a silver medal in the women’s 5000m at the Paris Olympics.

Kipyegon wins 5th Diamond League title

TUKO.co.ke earlier reported that Kipyegon stormed to her 5th Diamond League title in the women’s 1500m in Brussels.

The defending Olympic champion clocked a meeting record of 3:54.75. She held off Diribe Welteji of Ethiopia, who finished second in 3:55.25, while Jessica Hull of Australia was third in 3:56.99.

Lupita Nyong’o cheers on Kipyegon

TUKO.co.ke also reported that Lupita Nyong’o cheered on Kipyegon during the Athlos NYC meet.

The 12 Years a Slave actress was present at the Icahn Stadium to support the greatest 1500m runner in history. She shared a heartwarming video screaming at the top of her lungs with Kipyegon going on to win.
