Gachagua’s Lawyer Doubts Ex-DP Will Get Justice if Impeachment Case Is Taken to Supreme Court

Lawyer Ndegwa Njiru has implied that former deputy Rigathi Gachagua might not get justice should his impeachment case reach the Supreme Court.

The advocate observed that the scale tends to tilt against Gachagua given that Chief Justice Martha Koome presided over the inauguration of Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, who President William Ruto nominated to replace his former deputy.

“We are surprised as Gachagua’s lawyers. The Chief Justice knew there was a case in court, yet she went ahead and administered an oath to Kithure Kindiki. If this case lands at the Supreme Court, what shall we do yet the Chief Justice resided over the swearing-in,” said Njiru.

The lawyer spoke on Saturday, November 2, at a funeral in Kirinyaga, where he accompanied Gachagua.
