Was Rigathi Gachagua moved to tears by Kirinyaga locals?
It all started when Gachagua, accompanied by his wife, Dorcas Rigathi, attended the funeral service of their friend Hannah Wanjiru Munyi in Kabare, Kirinyaga County.
Kirinyaga residents warmly welcomed Gachagua and his spouse, cheering and singing songs of jubilation upon his arrival.
They were heard singing songs encouraging Gachagua, calling him a blessed man who can never be cursed.
However, the experience became emotional for Gachagua when Kirinyaga residents began expressing their support for him.
They suggested that Gachagua’s impeachment was part of a plan orchestrated by the Kenya Kwanza government, affirming that they will not abandon him.

“It was planned, but we are now wiser. No matter the plot, we stand with you,” one local said as others gathered around Gachagua and his wife.
These words of assurance brought the impeached deputy president to tears as he tried to hold them back.
