President William Ruto lightened the atmosphere at Kithure Kindiki’s swearing-in ceremony by nicknaming him “Abrah K,” a shortened version of his official name, Abraham Kindiki.
Ruto not only demonstrated his close relationship with Kindiki but also expressed confidence in his ability to lead.
What did Ruto say about Kindiki?
Ruto thanked Kindiki for stepping up to assume the role of deputy president following Rigathi Gachagua’s impeachment from office.
“I am honoured that Kindiki is available and willing to serve as my deputy. My brother, Abra K (Abraham Kindiki), Kenyans have listened to you say you will serve them,” he said.
He lamented working alone since taking office as president two years ago but expressed confidence that Kindiki will help him achieve what he missed during his time in power.
