Nairobi: Sigh of Relief as Missing Hotelier Is Found in Hospital Under Different Name


Nairobi: The family of Hezron Achola Olum is over the moon after finally finding their kin, who went missing just after leaving work.

Accoridng to his brother, Hezron went missing after leaving work at about 11 pm night and was heading home to Kariokor. The man, who is in his late thirties, was dressed in brown cargo pants, a T-shirt, shoes, light blue sweater and was carrying a black bag with straps.

A subsequent CCTV recording availed by the Social House Hotel showed him signing out of work and walking down Cool Road in Nairobi’s Lavington.

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Hezron’s brother said they went to all hopsoitals looking for him to no avail. Then on October 30, they received a call from Kenyatta National Hospital and when they got there they found him.

“It turned out that the hotelier in his later 30s had boarded a matatu which got involved in an accident and he passed out. When the ambulance came it rushded him to hospital under a different name that is why we didn’t find him the first time,” said Collins.

“We told KNH we were looking for him and the communication department put up the poster on their social pages. A doctor who had attended to him recognised his face and told the communication department that he was there but with a different. They reached out to us after putting together the pieces of the puzzle,: he added.

Achola is now recupering at the hospital after suffering leg and collar injuries. He is now responsive and can recognise people.
