Parents are teaching kids the art of saving and being independent, which has paid off, especially for Njugush’s firstborn son, Tugi.

The Grade One pupil was escorted by his mum, Celestine Ndinda, also known as Wakavinye, to a toy shop.
They showcased their envious mother-son bond as they shared light moments that lit up the shop.
“Now it is for you to choose what you want. Do you have money? Let us see how much you have,” Wakavinye said as she reached for the piggy bank in a polythene bag.

Tugi counts piggy bank savings
They sat at a table as Tugi entered the code for his piggy bank, opened it, and poured the money on the table as his mother helped him to count.
Tugi had saved KSh 10,100 within a year and could not remain calm as he smiled widely at the camera.
He revealed he would use the money to spoil the family with toys from the luxurious toy shop, leaving his mum in awe.
The video showed Tugi picking a toy at a time for each family member, from his parents to his youngest sibling.
