Murang’a Woman Puzzled as Husband Is Killed While Lying on Sofa, Narrates Ordeal

A Murang’a woman has painfully narrated the frightening moment her husband was killed as he was sleeping on the couch.

Nancy Wanjiru narrated that he was resting on the couch when her brother-in-law visited the house calmly and greeted her two days ago.

Speaking to Inooro TV, Wanjiru said that after exchanging pleasantries, her husband’s brother asked about her spouse’s whereabouts, and she informed him he was lying on the sofa resting.

“He said hi and asked, ‘Where is my brother?’ and I told him he was sleeping on the couch. After he walked into the house, I heard him say, ‘You think you are the only man in this family’. I rushed to the house, but I found that he had killed him,” she narrated with tears down her face.

The woman now regrets telling her brother-in-law about her husband’s whereabouts, adding that she did not know he had ill intentions.

The victim died while he was being rushed to the Kenol Hospital.

“He was this family’s breadwinner. I am left to care for our four children, including a two-year-old,” the widow said.

She said after allegedly killing her husband, her brother-in-law dared anyone who wanted to touch him and walked back to his house.

He was later arrested and will be charged with the killing of his brother.
