Are the DCI monitoring Amenya’s family?

In a statement on his X account, he implied that he suspected the investigative unit had bugged his parents’ home after visiting under the pretence of tracing a stolen car on their property.

He added that the DCI allegedly visited a friend’s garage, claiming they were searching for a stolen car and stating they had intelligence indicating the car was on the property.

“In the past few days, the DCI Subaru gang visited my parents’ home, claiming they had traced a stolen vehicle to the compound. They entered, went to the rooftop, and left (I suspect they bugged the place). Later, they went to a friend’s garage, saying this time it was a stolen Mercedes new model they were looking for and had information it was in there. They were allowed to search, and in the process, they logged details of all vehicles present—even those simply parked nearby—promising to follow up,” Amenya said.

What did Amenya tell the DCI?

He further cautioned the DCI to stay away from his family, asserting that he knows the masterminds behind their recent actions.

He stated that if anything happened to his family, he would publicly release their identities so everyone would know who was responsible.

“Let this be a warning: I know exactly who you are. The world will know your name if anything happens to anyone connected to me. You won’t hide behind faceless orders—you will be held personally responsible,” he added.

He also criticized the DCI for allegedly using their resources to target him rather than addressing real crimes in society, such as murder and corruption.

“Fight the rising homicides, rampant crime, and the epidemic of corruption plaguing the public sector. Stop being weaponized against the very citizens you’re meant to protect.,” he added.

Amenya stated that his primary goal is to help build a Kenya where the DCI serves the people rather than the interests of those in power.
