• The group also invited their former cook, Abraham Wendot, and they shared old stories of how he was good but quite tough on them upon provocation
• The men and women looked sharp in their dressing and some of them came driving state-of-the-art cars, which showed they were doing well

A group of men and women who attended Samor Secondary School, now Mogotio Girls High School, met to reminisce about the good old days after 44 years of not seeing each other.

The group of elderly men and women comprised of students from 1970-1980s and to show that the years have been kind to them, they came looking sharp and some had some state-of-art cars.

What was the previous name of Mogotio Girls high?

The group who met at Muiya, Mogotio in Baringo also included their school chef in their school days, Chepkeitany.

“It was started as Samor Mix Secondary School, then it was renamed to Mogotio Mix Secondary. The class joined in 1979 and then it was a day secondary school. We are all retired adn we are thankful to God for those years,” Andrew,a man who covered the event told TUKO.co.ke.

“This is a big day, we are very grateful. We are healthy and God made it possible for us to meet. We have had a lot to eat and good stories about our former school. It is true we went through difficult periods but they made us who we are,” said one of the classmates present.

According to the students, some of them never had shoes,never had fees and others had to work before going to work.

“That school is my home, my late dad worked there as a head teacher in the 80’s, my mum served there as an assistant bursar, i was born in the compound, lived there until about 5 yrs ago, i schooled there , with my other 3 siblings. We left the place when mum retired. Forever indebted.”

Old students of Kapropita Girls High School meet after decades

in another story, an old class from Kapropita Girls High School finally met after 34 years and had the time of their lives, as was documented in enchanting photos.

The middle-aged women could barely hide their excitement after seeing each other many years later, going by their dancing.

The women met at the Lomanira Splendor Hotel in Mogotio, Baringo, in a well-decorated room, enjoyed themselves, and later took photos to commemorate the occasion.
