Nairobi – People Living with Disabilities (PWDs) in Kenya have now gained confidence in President William Ruto’s administration.

“I want to categorically state that we are happy with the President now and especially on matters tribal politics that promote discrimination and division,” Maalim said.

He said that those working with the president should respect him (Ruto) instead of sabotaging his work.

“Those trying to sabotage the President must be whisked out because their agenda is to have him fail,” he added.

Maalim said that, as PWDs, they are optimistic that the government will implement some of their demands to the President.

He had called on the government to ensure that PWDs in rural Kenya are incorporated into its policies and services.

“We are now in good position where we can negotiate to ensure that total inclusion of PWDs in government’s service delivery is achieved,” Maalim stated.

He is optimistic that the government will consider more funding for the National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD), a state corporation established under the Persons with Disabilities Act No. 14 of 2003.

Maalim has predicted that President William Ruto will win with a landslide if he completely eliminates tribalism.
