“It’s evident that even a small kid knows that the government is no longer serving them well and what is the importance of impeachment to Kenyans?” asked the MP.
Can Speaker Moses Wetang’ula be impeached?
Kalasinga, who is the area MP of National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula, dismissed rumours that the speaker is set to be impeached. He expressed his confidence in the agreement that Ford-Kenya had with President William Ruto before Wetang’ula’s appointment.
“Let me be very clear with you, Ford-Kenya had an agreement with President William Ruto, and that agreement says Moses Wetang’ula will be the speaker for five years, we in Ford-Kenya and the people of this region will fight for whatever comes may,” he stated.

The lawmaker further stated that the government should have cleared the NHIF saga before migration to SHA and SHIF. Kalasinga said that the hurry to harmonise the Social Health Insurance Fund has raised eyebrows in the country.
“The NHIF/SHIF saga has badly exposed government policies. Many hospitals are unable to run today because the government has disbanded NHIF, and even if you want to sue them, who will you sue, that is killing businesses,” he added.
The legislator elicited laughter when he spoke about the issue of the now-withdrawn Finance Bill 2024 which would have led to an increase the the prices of essential items such as sanitary towels.
Kalasinga also addressed his critics, accusing them of being deployed to intimidate him into silence and deter him from continuing his critique of the administration.
