Nairobi – KANU party leader Gideon Moi has expressed his worry over the rising murder cases in the country.
In a statement on Thursday, October 24, Gideon said the current trends of people being abducted and ending up dead were disturbing and heartbreaking.
“The country is witnessing a deeply disturbing and heartbreaking surge in brutal murders of Kenyans. These rampant femicide cases and macabre killings, abetted by the now-commonplace abductions, are creeping back into the country and striking at the very core of our sense of security as a nation,” Gideon said.
The former Baringo senator urged the government to step up efforts to guarantee the safety of every Kenyan, arguing that no one should live in fear.

According to Gideon, the government was responsible for ensuring Kenyans live without fear.
“No one should live in fear, and no Kenyan should ever feel unsafe walking our streets or going about their daily lives. Therefore, the government must now step up its efforts to guarantee the safety and security of every Kenyan. There must be a renewed focus on securing public spaces and improving law enforcement,” he added.
