Why Niles doesn’t want to marry Matilda

Niles met Matilda on Facebook after she messaged him, they stayed in touch for a while before he travelled to Ghana to meet her.

The couple’s love journey has been airing on the popular relationship show, and videos from their meeting in Ghana have gone viral.

In a video shared by 90 Day Fiancé, after arriving in Ghana, Niles, who is autistic, pampered his lover with gifts and romantic dates and even took her to the beauty parlour for a makeover and took her on a shopping spree.

Niles bought a ring worth $250 (KSh 32,250) and proposed to Matilda.

How did Niles propose to Matilda?

The 23-year-old beautiful Ghanaian lady had already planned to marry her American lover during his Ghana trip. Matilda had planned everything and invited 200-plus people, including family and friends, to their wedding, only for Niles to postpone it.

“Today I’m taking Matilda to the memorial site of the first president of Ghana to propose,” he said.

Niles then took Matilda to Kwame Nkurumah’s gravesite, where he got down on one knee, flashed out a ring, and proposed, leaving her in tears.

“I love it, and I will marry you 100 times,” excited Matilda said before they kissed passionately and hugged each other tightly.

Later, they went to a restaurant, where Niles broke the sad news.

“I don’t think we can do the wedding on this trip,” he said leaving Matilda shocked.

“Why?” she asked.

“Because I want to give the best that I can possibly can, and this is not enough time to get to know you. So, getting married on this trip, I can’t exactly do that,” the 27-year-old said.

Agitated Matilda and asked him why he let her family about the wedding if he was not ready.

“This is a disgrace. People will laugh at me. So what do you want me to tell them? I don’t know what to do. I don’t know what is going on. I’m confused right now,” she told Niles.

Bomet bride cancels wedding

Elsewhere, a wedding that was eagerly anticipated in Bomet was called off just hours before the ceremony was set to take place.

The bride, Nelly Chepkoech, reportedly had a change of heart, leaving the groom, Amos, devastated.

The couple, who had been planning their wedding for December 9, 2023, saw their dreams shattered on Friday, December 8, 2023.

Amos claimed his wife told him and the reverend who was to officiate their wedding that she was in love with someone else. He said he had forgiven Nelly, and wished her the best.
