“Brian was returning from school on October 9 but did not reach home. When my daughter told us she hadn’t seen him, we immediately reported him missing. Since then, we’ve been searching everywhere,” Kamau explained.

Where was Brian Gitau’s body found?

Tragically, officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations probing the case discovered Gitau’s body in a well in the Wiyumiririe area not far from his school.

The officers did not clarify how he fell into the well but assured the family that a postmortem would be conducted to determine the cause of death.

“Yesterday at around 11pm, the officers informed us they had found him, but sadly, he was dead. His body was floating in a well near his school. We are heartbroken. How he ended up in the well remains a mystery, but the detectives have promised to investigate as we await the postmortem results,” said the devastated father.
