A wave of grief has enveloped the Baringo community following the deaths of two individuals who died after a police vehicle collided with a motorbike
How did the police vehicle hit 2 Baringo residents?
The police vehicle was reportedly travelling at high speed when it struck a motorbike and killed two people.
The vehicle was reportedly travelling from the Mkutani area to Marigat when it collided head-on with a motorbike, resulting in the deaths of the two individuals.
Eyewitnesses reported that the police vehicle also crashed into several cows and goats during the incident

While speaking to Citizen TV, area police commander Julius Kiragu confirmed the incident and stated that investigations into the matter are currently ongoing
Area residents are urging police officers to refrain from driving at high speeds, citing that the recent accident has resulted in significant losses.
“They’ve killed cows and goats on the roads, and now it has gone to the extent of killing people. There was a time they killed two people. We tried to seek justice, but that case never got anywhere,” One resident said.
Residents are also calling for justice for the two families who lost their loved ones in the tragic incident.
They are seeking accountability and appropriate measures to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
“We want that driver arrested and the police vehicle impounded. We are also calling on the government to take responsibility for the two lives lost,” he added.
