Purity Kathure said she sacrificed every last penny of her paycheck to fulfil her husband’s desire, but he still broke her heart.
Why did Kathure head to husband’s village home?
Kathure said he took loans to help her unemployed husband build and complete his house in his village home.

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Kathure, a nurse by profession, recalled relocating to her husband’s village home after life got tough.
“We returned to his home village since life became difficult for us. My salary was insufficient to care for the bills in the house since he was unemployed. It was strenuous for me,” she said.
Kathure living with his inlaws in husband’s home
She said they lived in a separate house with her in-laws since her husband’s house was yet to be completed.
Since living with her husband’s two brothers was uncomfortable, she took out loans to help continue constructing her house.
“At first, I took a KSh 200,000 loan but did not give him all the money. After a while, I took another KSh 200,000. The construction was not as quick as in between, there were other house needs like shopping. He barred me from starting a business, warning me that he would chase me out,” she recounted.

Katjure follows husband to Mombasa
Her husband secured a job in Mombasa and cunningly chased her from his village home.
The other house was nearly completed, but extra money was needed, so Kathure took extra loans.
“As he went to Mombasa, I was high and dry without money, yet I was pregnant with the second baby. I decided to go to Mombasa and look for him. When I got there, I found he had already moved on with a certain lady who used to communicate with him on the phone. I was left with loans to pay, and at the same time, I became homeless,” she said.
Nyeri woman dumped after building husband house
In another story, Winnie Wangui Macharia said she could barely remember a day she was genuinely happy in her marriage.
She tried her best to keep her marriage intact, including building a magnificent two-bedroom house after the one they lived in was destroyed.
However, after six years of being unhappily married, the heartbroken Nyeri lady was dumped by her husband.
